Linkin Park have unveiled various anniversary plans over the past few weeks. Now, they plan to continue the celebration by streaming an unreleased performance from 2002’s Projekt Revolution tour.
In celebration of the Hybrid Theory anniversary, Linkin Park are releasing the 20th Anniversary Edition on Oct. 9 via Warner Records. The album is being released as a super deluxe box set, super deluxe vinyl set, deluxe CD and digital version.
Along with this, the band are throwing it back to 2002 for a special streaming event. In 2002, Linkin Park embarked on the Projekt Revolution tour with Cypress Hill, Adema and DJ Z-Trip.
Now, along with a fan Q&A, Linkin Park are streaming an unreleased set from the 2002 tour just for fans. However, there are only two opportunities to tune in.
Linkin Park are kicking off the event with a Q&A on Friday, Oct. 9. The first stream of the Projekt Revolution set starts at 9 A.M. PT with the second following at 9 P.M. PT the same day. Those are the only chances fans will have to watch the never-before-seen performance.
The Projekt Revolution set was filmed during the tour’s closing show in Las Vegas. Fans can expect to watch Linkin Park perform Hybrid Theory classics as well as fan favorites such as “My December.” The set also features “special guest performances.”

The upcoming streaming event is just of the many ways Linkin Park are celebrating the Hybrid Theory 20th anniversary. Back in August, Linkin Park unveiled their unreleased demo “She Couldn’t.” In 2009, the track first surfaced when a fan discovered a demo CD on eBay. Since then, it has made its way onto YouTube through various fan uploads over the years.
More recently, they released the original “In The End” demo. The demo was released as “The Untitled” prior to Hybrid Theory. However, it resurfaced online in 2009 and later appeared on the fan club exclusive LP Underground Eleven. While Chester Bennington’s original verses stayed intact for the album version, a lot of what Mike Shinoda raps changed.
As well, the 20th Anniversary Edition also features other unreleased demos including “Pictureboard.” The demo is considered to be one of Linkin Park’s “holy grail” recordings and has only been played live in concert once. It is also the first Linkin Park song Bennington sang on. Last week, the band opened up about hearing Bennington’s vocals on the track for the first time.
