In a new Instagram post from Hayley Williams, the singer shared that the band’s latest tour with Foster The People saw the most diverse audience in attendance than prior tours.

Taking to her social media to share the news, Paramore’s vocalist shared a snap of a Nylon article, where it discusses the reason why so many people, specifically people of color, love the band.

In addition to a screenshot of the article and email she received about it, the vocalist shared this sweet caption:

Ahhh just got this email…#tour5 brought the most diverse and colorful audiences we ever played for. Oh dammit, a long caption is about to happen: I was moved to tears so many nights on stage while looking out at an insane spectrum of gloriously sweaty summer skin. The crowds were full of color, culture and carefree smiles I won’t ever forget.

She also gave some love to the writer of Nylon‘s article, Taylor Bryant, where she added to the post:

This is a v rad article that I didn’t expect, even after some of the viral tweets ? thanks Taylor Bryant for giving voice to people of color who may not feel represented well in alternative genres… (and I love that you’re kicking so much rock history knowledge). music is everybody’s to connect with. it’s such a gift that Paramore get to be a lil part of that.

The band just finished off their tour 5, and our hearts couldn’t be fuller.

Not only did the tour bring out a diverse crowd, it also saw Stranger Things’ star Gaten Matarazzo and Saxl Rose do guest performances with the band.
