Picturesque have been dropping a series of songs exploring dating apps and hook up culture over the past while and they’re back with another in the way of “Necessary.”
The band are releasing the new single alongside a music video via Equal Vision Records.
The songs started coming out back in 2018 with the release of “Pray” which tackles loneliness in the dating world.
The band’s most recent prior to “Necessary” came in “Crimes” which was dropped last October following their song “Swipe”. “‘Crimes’ is our way of getting weird on this record and showing our listeners a new side of us they haven’t heard,” frontman Kyle Hollis explains. “We wanted to think outside the box, and I feel like we created something exciting and fresh.”
In case you haven’t seen the video for those tracks yet, check them out below.
Now, the band are sharing their thoughts on the newest single in a statement.
“This song is a standout favorite from all the writing we’ve been doing. It’s about staying closed off so long, then finally opening yourself up again just to be let down. We’ve been dying to share it.”
