Taking Back Sunday fire back at pushy fans who don’t dig the setlist

Taking Back Sunday have taken to Twitter to shut down pushy fans who demand that certain songs be played at their concerts.

Last evening the band played a sold-out show at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ to kick off their 20th-anniversary tour. While Taking Back Sunday played for over two hours, fans still wanted the band to play songs that weren’t on the roster for the evening.

“Just a thought, if a band just played a 28 song set, and mind you, had a great time doing it, the first thing you shouldn’t do is say what song they should have played,” the band say. “Goodnight and see you tomorrow.”

As a part of their 20th-anniversary tour, the band flips a coin to see which album(s) will be played in-full next to the entirety of Tell All Your Friends. Of the options, fans will either hear Where You Want To Be or Louder Now. For the majority of their tour, the band are playing two nights in a row, so fans can see both performances if they choose to do so.

Last night was the coin’s debut, which may have been the source of fan’s resentment. Check out the coin for yourselves below.

Despite the issue at hand, the band still seemed to have a great time. To make matters even better, the band took the stage in polyester holiday suits.
