In mid-January, Dustin Diamond was hospitalized after feeling severe pain all over his body. He was then diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and completed his first round of chemo only a few weeks ago. However, on Monday, Feb. 1, Diamond passed away at the age of 44. A rep for the late actor told TMZ that his condition greatly declined over the past week and he was taken off of breathing machines in an attempt to get him to hospice care.

Since the news of his passing, many friends, family and loved ones have paid their respects to Diamond. Now, his close friend Dan Block has revealed the two things Diamond wanted to do before he died.

“There are two things Dustin asked for," Block told The Sun. "The ability to talk to Justin Chancellor about music and to be able to visit Disney World to see Star Wars Galaxy Edge.”

As it turns out, Diamond was a massive Tool fan and aspired to start a Tool tribute band. In fact, he was in the process of forming the musical project before he learned about his cancer.

“Dustin was learning to play several Tool songs and wanted to start a Tool tribute band," Block continues. "He was in the process of starting the band before being diagnosed with cancer. He would play the song and play along with his bass while watching YouTube videos.”

Although the interview was published on Feb. 1, it took place before Diamond's passing. At the time, Block told The Sun that Diamond was given “weeks to 5 months” to live.

“We are hoping that he is one of the people to outlive the odds and that we get as much time with him as possible.”
