Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes” is still breaking streaming records
Panic! At The Disco are still breaking streaming records with their hit single “High Hopes.” It’s been two years since the song first made its debut and listeners are clearly still enjoying it.
According to Nielsen‘s mid-year music report, “High Hopes” is the No. 1 song on rock radio. As well, the single is in the top ten of the U.S.’s most-streamed songs in 2020.

Since its release in 2018, “High Hopes” has reached various music milestones. In December 2018, the Panic! At The Disco single was certified platinum. Just a week later, “High Hopes” became the band’s highest-charting song after it reached No. 5 on Billboard‘s Hot 100.
Then in January 2019, after 24 weeks on the charts, “High Hopes” climbed to the fourth spot on the Hot 100. A few months later, “High Hopes” officially became the longest-leading number one on Billboard’s Adult Pop Songs radio airplay Chart in more than 10 years.
Most recently, “High Hopes” held the No.1 spot on Billboard‘s Hot Rock Songs Chart for a historic 76 weeks. In April 2020, however, Panic! At The Disco were dethroned by twenty one pilots and their new single “Level Of Concern.”
Despite being dethroned from the coveted No.1 Billboard chart spot, “High Hopes” is still continuing to break records.
According to the Nielsen report, the single is the No.1 rock radio song in the United States, reaching an audience of 750.114 million and getting 217,000 spins. The closest track to reach these numbers is Journey‘s “Don’t Stop Believin‘.” The classic song reached an audience of 431.126 million and received 73,000 spins.

Along with this, Panic! At The Disco’s “High Hopes” is also the U.S.’s fourth most-streamed song this year. The single has earned 656,6000 based on SES data (streaming-equivalent songs which means that 125 premium streams equal to one song).
Since its release, “High Hopes” is 4x platinum-certified and its video is about to pass YouTube‘s 500 million streams mark. The video currently has over 484 million streams.
The recent “High Hopes” chart and streaming figures follow Billboard‘s latest announcement earlier this week. The company says that it is changing the way album sales and streaming numbers are counted towards its chart figures.
