See Poppy’s ferocious live debut of “Spit”
Earlier this year, Poppy delivered a brutal, industrialized cover of Kittie’s 1999 nü-metal stomper “Spit.” On Aug. 18 at The Showbox SoDo in Seattle, Washington, she finally gave the song its long-awaited live debut.
As seen in the fan-filmed footage below, Poppy tore into the song, delivering its biting lyrics in scabrous, feedback-soaked screams while the crowd chanted the one-word chorus back to her. Poppy also played “Spit” the following night in Portland, Oregon. You can watch that performance below, as well.
