If you recall, Joe supposedly murdered his Season 1 love interest, Beck in the season finale. By locking her in the basement book cellar, just like he did with Benji, her escape apparently failed. That said, it looks like Beck was killed offscreen.

However, You’s main character wouldn’t be the creepiest, most sinisterly obsessive protagonist of all time is he didn’t have some sort of love interest. Even despite Candace’s (Joe’s ex-girlfriend) return, it appears a new character is being added all together.

According to MTV, the Haunting of Hill House’s Victoria Pedretti will join the cast in the leading role of Love Quinn, an aspiring chef in Los Angeles.

The character’s name alone leads us to believe that she may take on Joe’s romantic vacancy. And after killing Beck, Benji, Peach and Ron, Joe’s move to the West Coast will definitely be all the more interesting.

You can watch a video that details what we know so far for Season 2 below.

The second season will be based on the book’s sequel, Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes.

Recently, Stranger ThingsMillie Bobby Brown came under scrutiny for defending You’s leading man, Joe. In a since-deleted Instagram story, Brown said that Badgley’s character wasn’t creepy.

However, Brown backtracked on her initial reaction to the TV show after she finished the entire season.

You can watch the trailer for the first season of You below.
