AltPress reported on April 22 that Post Malone would be hosting a very special Nirvana tribute this Friday, April 24. The news came out of nowhere, with Posty having revealed it out of the blue with a brief teaser. 

Now, Courtney Love has shared her thoughts on the upcoming tribute benefit.

Post Malone briefly detailed the Nirvana event on his social media accounts just yesterday. We know it's happening this Friday, April 24 at 3 P.M. PST/6 P.M. EST. We know he's playing a selection of hits and fan favorites. And, we know Posty is raising money for the United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization.


We've also known that Post Malone is a massive Nirvana fan. He even has Cobain tattooed on one of his knuckles. 

With that being said, we're sure he's happy that Courtney Love, absolutely gives her blessing for the livestream event.

If you didn't know, Post Malone has always loved rock and roll. There’s some uncovered footage of what seems to be his high school band covering Asking Alexandria. He’s covered Nirvana’s “Lithium” and “All Apologies,” screamed to Pantera‘s “Walk” and has collaborated with the legendary Ozzy Osbourne not once, but twice with “Take What You Want” and “It’s A Raid.”

As stated, the livestream will be broadcast from Posty’s home and air at 3 P.M. PST/6 P.M EST. 

In addition, viewers have the chance to donate to United Nations Foundation’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization throughout the show. Google will all donations at a 2:1 rate up to $5 million.
