Dave Grohl cooks barbecue for California firefighters

In case you needed further proof Dave Grohl is a great guy, here’s what happened last Monday, Nov. 12: the Foo Fighters frontman cooked barbecue for firefighters.

Could he get any better?

Grohl visited the Los Angeles County Fire Station 68 on Monday, Nov. 12. The station serves the cities of Calabasas and Hidden Hills, both which are still under mandatory evacuation due to the California wildfires.

Being the great guy he is, we assume the musician was there to thank firefighters for their work. However, he didn’t just shake some hands during the visit.

He also cooked barbecue for the firefighters. Our hearts honestly can’t handle it.

The Fire Station 68 official Instagram account shared a picture of Grohl with some firefighters, thanking him for the visit and for the food.

It was awesome to get a visit tonight from Dave Grohl of the @foofighters,” the caption reads. “He also treated us to some of his own @backbeatbbq. Thanks Dave! It was excellent!”

There’s one last band Dave Grohl wants to drum for

After playing drums in Nirvana and handling percussion on the first two Foo Fighters albums, you’d think that Dave Grohl maybe got his fill of the drum stool. But no.

When asked by Forbes journalist Steve Baltin about his “dream person to play drums for,” the rock Renaissance man doesn’t hesitate with his answer.

AC/DC,” says Grohl unequivocally. “That’s my last one, that’s it. Phil Rudd is back though. If you dive back into their back catalog, that early s**t, there was a little bit more dynamic, then they settled into the groove. That’s the thing.”

In other corners of Dave Grohl’s world, the musician will perform the 23-minute instrumental song he wrote and recorded for mini-doc Play at this December’s Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam in North Carolina.
