Here’s when you can finally see MGK and Halsey’s “forget me too” video
Last month, Machine Gun Kelly released his No.1 album Tickets To My Downfall which includes collabs with blackbear, Trippie Redd, iann dior and Halsey.
Shortly following the album’s release, MGK revealed that he and Halsey are filming a video for their collaboration “forget me too.” Finally, after weeks of anticipation, Machine Gun Kelly has confirmed when the video is arriving.

“forget me too” has quickly become a fan-favorite on Tickets To My Downfall. The song currently has over 24 million streams on Spotify and is the second most popular MGK song on the platform right now.
So, naturally, fans were very excited when MGK confirmed that a video for the Halsey collaboration is on the way.

The duo filmed the video on Oct. 1 and shared a few behind-the-scenes moments from the shoot.

Now, Machine Gun Kelly has finally confirmed when fans are getting the “forget me too” video. On Wednesday, he took to Twitter to share that the new video is arriving on Thursday, Oct 22.

Although they’ve been friends for years, “forget me too” marks the first collaboration between Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly. On the Tickets To My Downfall release day, Halsey shared some throwback photos and congratulated MGK on the new album.

During a recent interview with Zane Lowe, both Travis Barker and MGK opened up on how their collab with Halsey came to be. According to Machine Gun Kelly, it only took Halsey “minutes” to write her verse in “forget me too.”
“It took her five minutes to write that verse, I could tell you that much,” he said. “She was in it. That was the quickest feature session I’ve ever had in my life.”
He further shared that after some slight changes to the verse’s tone, it didn’t take Halsey long to record her part.

“She came in and I have on-camera the moment when she tried to do a low tone,” he said. “‘I’ve wasted so much time.’ And we were all like, ‘Okay, sick, this is dope.’ And then the next take, she was like, ‘Let me try it higher. I wasted so much…’ Dude, we all were like, ‘What was that? That’s it. Do that, do that.’ It was so good dude. So good. She might have one-taked it, dude. Shit, it was crazy.”
After sending the track to Halsey, she came into the studio the next day and recorded her verse in “maybe 10 minutes.”
“She pretty much did,” Barker shared. “She was in the booth maybe 10 minutes. I think we knew. And then we were working on this up-tempo song and I was like, ‘Yo, this is the song we should put Halsey on.’ Or whatever. And I think you sent it to her that night. The next day she came in, was in the booth 10, 15 minutes tops and the song was finished.”
For MGK, he thinks it was almost by chance that Halsey ended up on “forget me too.”
“Bro, I almost felt like she was randomly passing your studio when I called her,” MGK said. “Because remember, she pulled up in 30 seconds. She was there in 30 seconds. So I think we were really lucky, man.”
