QUIZ: How well do you know Motion City Soundtrack’s “Everything Is Alright?”

From Motion City Soundtrack’s classic album, Commit This To Memory, “Everything Is Alright” served as the leading single. More on Motion City Soundtrack

Last year, Real Friends’ vocalist Dan Lambton shared a cover of Motion City Soundtrack’s “Together We’ll Ring in the New Year” from their 2005 album Commit This to Memory.

Lambton decided to post the cover “to displace [his] Inauguration Day anxiety,” he said in a tweet.

“Maybe I’ll post a motion city soundtrack cover sometime soon to displace my Inauguration Day anxiety,” he shared. “If you haven’t listened to MCS, go hear that cover, listen to the original (because it’s better) and then marathon all of their albums”

The cover arrives several months after Motion City Soundtrack embarked on a farewell tour in 2016 after announcing an indefinite hiatus. Split into two legs, the band hit the road with the Spill CanvasMicrowaveHave Mercy and Light Years that summer.

The band played their final shows in Chicago in September 2016 including a set at Riot Fest followed by an after party at the Metro Chicago.
