Green Day dance through the decades in new “Father Of All...” video

We’re all very stoked about Green DayFall Out Boy and Weezer performing together on their Hella Mega tour, but before then, we’re getting some new music and accompanying videos.

Last week, Green Day’s “Father Of All…” dropped, which Billie Joe Armstrong compares to “a unicorn falling out of the sky,” and now we’re getting visuals for the new track.

The band hyped fans up with a teaser for the video’s premiere on their social media accounts earlier today.

“Father Of All…” is the band’s lead track from their thirteenth studio record of the same name. The followup to 2016’s Revolution Radio is slated for release February 7, 2020 via Reprise/Warner with preorders available here.

Check out the video for “Father Of All…” below.

“I knew I wanted to do something different,” Armstrong tells Rolling Stone in regards to his search for a new sound. “I’d always loved British mod music from the Sixties, but I wanted to go to where the source was and see if I could put [soul] through the Green Day filter. It was a lot of trial and error, a lot of pulling my fucking hair out.”

The Hella Mega tour kicks off June 13 in Paris and will run throughout Europe, the U.K. and North America with the Interrupters as support. Green Day will be prefacing the tour with solo appearances in Europe and Asia.

You can purchase tickets beginning Friday, Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com.
