KISS guitarist Paul Stanley abandons zip-line stunt after technical issue

KISS guitarist Paul Stanley fell victim to a technical mishap during the band’s show in Mexico that forced Stanely to abandon his zip-line stunt during “Love Gun.”

The band are currently on their “End Of The Road” farewell tour and during the show, Stanely flys over the crowd on a zip-line during the classic song.

However, at the band’s show on May 3, things didn’t quite go as planned.

KISS were performing in Iztacalco, Mexico City at the Domination Mexico festival on Friday when the zip-line was either incorrectly secured or not positioned properly, forcing Stanely to bail on the stunt.

A fan caught footage of the attempt, showing a member of the crew trying to assist Stanely only for him to soon give up on the zip-line.

Recently Stanley revealed what song the band would play as their final encore song on the last stop of the tour.

Stanley revealed in an interview with Australia’s “Sunday Night” that the last song they’d ever do live is “Rock and Roll All Nite and Party Every Day.”

“That is the rock anthem that connects the world. It was the start of other people coming up with anthems,” he said. “They didn’t really exist, per se. So, ‘Rock and Roll All Nite and Party Every Day,’ that’s a song that just connects with people on all different levels.”
