From July to September, “Growing Up Kurt Cobain” will showcase a number of the singer’s belongings, including handwritten lyrics, drawings of cartoon characters, clothes and even a car.
The items were curated by his family and some of them have never been seen by the public before, reports Reuters.
Frances Bean Cobain and her grandmother, Wendy O’Connor, will attend the opening of the exhibition at Museum of Style Icons in Newbridge, Ireland.
“I have always been the most intimately informed of who my father was by my grandmother and aunts,” Frances tells Reuters.
“I am so ecstatic that their view of who Kurt was gets to be celebrated with Nirvana fans the world over.”
“Growing Up Kurt Cobain” opens July 19.
