My Chemical Romance continue adding shows after quick sellouts

My Chemical Romance tickets went on sale today, Jan. 31 at noon local time. It is being reported that shows are already sold out. One, in particular, is MCR’s “hometown” show in Newark, New Jersey. But, being the Jersey boys they are, My Chemical Romance just added a second date.

The first New Jersey show takes place Sep. 22, and now they will put on a show the following night, Sep. 23.

We speculated earlier today that U.S. shows would most likely sell out rather quickly given that My Chemical Romance’s first Milton-Keynes U.K. show did. Then, their second did as soon as they announced it shortly after, and their third did when they announced it a few days later.

Well, good news for New Jersey residents because about an hours after the initial ticket sales, My Chemical Romance added a second Newark date.

Given that this is My Chemical Romance’s first U.S. tour in nine years, we expected this. Frank Iero posted on Instagram today, talking about how special it is to be playing in New Jersey. Maybe he’s clairvoyant and knew something we didn’t. Check out that post below.

hell-oh phrends, Tomorrow tickets will go on sale for the first North American My Chem tour in 9 years at 12pm local time… 18 dates in some of my favorite cities, including (yea, you guessed it) beautiful Newark, NJ. ? The first and only time mychem played the Prudential Center in Newark was in 2007 when we were asked by the mighty @bonjovi (?) to open their series of shows christening the venue.

it was the first concert ever held there, and since we opened the show… well, technically we were the first band to ever play there (thanks Jon! ?‍♀️ sorry). Now it’s 2020, 13 years later and my friends and i are back to headline the Rock, our hometown arena located less than 7 miles from the house i grew up in, and the current stomping ground of the @njdevils ?

it really is a dream come true, i couldn’t make this shit up if i tried! i truly feel blessed getting to do all the crazy things that i do… and i just want to thank you all out there for the love, for the continued support, and for your (extremely loud) patience. It was a long journey getting to these shows, for all of us… and i wouldn’t trade one step or stumble of it for the world.
ticket link is in my bio, i’ll see you at the shows.
Keep the faith xofrnk ?
