Nine Inch Nails, Run The Jewels and more set to headline Riot Fest 2021

The organizers of Riot Fest have announced that the festival is returning to Douglass Park in Chicago this fall. In typical Riot fashion, the lineup for Sept. 17, 18 and 19 is stacked. “We’ve missed you and we can’t wait to see you this year,” the festival organizers shared

Headliners include alternative veterans Nine Inch Nails, the Smashing Pumpkins and Run The Jewels across the weekend event.

After their Sept. 16 preview party, you can catch other artists, both rising and legendary in the pop punk, indie, ska and rock space including Pixies, Faith No More, DEVO, Mr. Bungle, Coheed And Cambria, Taking Back Sunday, Dirty Heads, Sublime With Rome, Lupe Fiasco, Vic Mensa, NOFX, New Found Glory, Circle Jerks, Simple Plan, Dinosaur Jr., the Ghost Inside, Gogol Bordello, Motion City Soundtrack and Thrice.

If that wasn’t already an overwhelming roster, music fans will also be able to check out Circa Survive, State Champs, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, K.Flay, Best Coast, Bayside, the Lawrence Arms, Les Savy Fav, Meg Myers, Beach Bunny, Big Freedia, Mayday Parade, Pup, Andrew W.K., the Bled, GWAR, FEVER 333, Living Colour, Saves The Day, Thursday, the Sounds, Mother Mother and Hepcat.

Additionally, Riot Fest is showcasing emerging talents who are sure to become a staple in many attendees’ playlists including Alex G, Anti-Flag, Joywave, Fishbone, Fucked Up, KennyHoopla, HEALTH, the Gories, Amigo The Devil, White Lung, Ratboys, Beach Goons, Eyedress, Meet Me @ The Altar, Night Moves, Seratones, Just Friends, Radkey, Holy Fawn, Melkbelly, Ganser and Hospital Bracelet.

Riot Fest is also teasing their lineup for fall 2022, sharing that My Chemical Romance are locked in as the headliner for the weekend of Sept. 16-18. 

Tickets for both 2021 and 2022 are available now. Three-day passes for 2021 for general admission, VIP and deluxe packages have already sold out. However, music fans who want the royal treatment can still purchase the “Ultimate” 3-day pass for $1,599.98, which includes gourmet meals, a private bar with your own bartender, air-conditioned restrooms and more. Single-day passes will be announced next week, along with another wave of performers.

If you’re looking ahead to 2022 and ready to go no matter what, you’re in luck. Riot Fest 2022 has several options available for 3-day passes including a General Admission pass for $155, a VIP bundle for $249.98, a Deluxe package for $749.98 and the Ultimate pass for $1,499.98. Additionally, ticket holders who purchased tickets in 2020 have the ability to receive a refund, transfer their ticket to 2022 or plan a trip to Chicago in 2021 and buy a ticket for 2022 at a reduced price. You can find next steps for ticket transfers and refunds here

Along with sharing the news of headlining Riot Fest, Nine Inch Nails also revealed they will be headlining the Saturday date of Louder Than Life, taking place in Louisville Sept. 23-26 at the Highland Festival Grounds at the Kentucky Expo Center. NIN will be joined by Snoop Dogg, Machine Gun Kelly, Ghostemane, the Distillers, Asking Alexandria, grandson, Code Orange, Ice Nine Kills, Spiritbox, Red, Butcher Babies, BONES UK, Diamante, SIIICKBRAIN, UnityTX, Dana Dentata and the Messenger Birds. Other bands on the Riot Fest also shared the exciting news with fans today.

Pop-punk band Meet Me @ The Altar shared how ecstatic they were to see the artists on the roster. Their Twitter caption reads: “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS LINEUP??? CAN’T WAIT TO SEE ALL OF YOU IN THE PIT AT RIOT FEST!!! TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE AT http://RIOTFEST.ORG/CHICAGO/TICKETS Fire LET’S MAKE OUR FIRST FESTIVAL BACK A GOOD ONE.”

Alternative artist K.Flay also tweeted, “sooo stoked to be playing @RiotFest this september!!!! SEE U SOON CHICAGO.”

 

Punk-rockers Anti-Flag shared, “Chicago punx! Shuffle the Uno deck because we’re coming back to @RiotFest this year!”
