The Academy Is... bassist weighs in on demo hitting Spotify
The Academy Is… and Cute Is What We Aim For fans will want to head over to Spotify ASAP as two “Warner Archives” tracks have now surfaced.
TwentyNineScene is thriving.
TAI fans may vaguely recall “Sodium” as an iTunes bonus track from the band’s third and final studio album, Fast Times at Barrington High. The album was released in August 2008, but the track only recently appeared on the band’s Spotify page.

Similarly, Fueled By Ramen labelmates Cute Is What We Aim For also had their iTunes exclusive track “Through To You” from their 2008 album Rotation appear on the streaming platform.
We’re more than OK with this unexpected surprise.
News of the freshly resurfaced tracks was soon noticed by TAI’s Adam Siska, who was quick to chime in on the demo track.
“An old TAI demo has resurfaced on Spotify, and many people think it’s a new song. I vaguely remember the demo, but frankly it stinks and I don’t like it, and I promise that if we were ever to put out new music, it would have to be much better than that!”

The uncovered track soon had fans requesting more TAI songs to be added to the band’s Spotify.
