This MGK and YUNGBLUD collab gets 11 pop-punk renditions in new cover
YouTube's Alex Melton is back at it with another entertaining pop-punk cover. This time around, Melton is letting you all know what it would sound like if Machine Gun Kelly, YUNGBLUD and Travis Barker's "I Think I'm OKAY" was covered by your favorite pop-punk bands.
Over the years, Alex Melton has cranked out some pretty impressive covers and reimaginations of our favorite songs. Late last year, Melton let us all know what Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue" would sound like if it was covered by Angels & Airwaves. Of course, Melton provided the perfect take on Tom DeLonge's distinct vocals in the cover video.
As well, Melton has also shared various covers of Taylor Swift's new folklore songs. Since the album's release in July, various creatives on both YouTube and TikTok have been sharing their renditions of the chart-topping songs. For Melton, he's released both a pop-punk version of “the 1” and an emo version of “cardigan."
Now, Melton is channeling your favorite pop-punk bands in a new cover. Earlier this week, Melton performed 11 different pop-punk covers of MGK, YUNGBLUD and Travis Barker's collab "I Think I'm OKAY."
The pop-punk covers are performed in the style of Mayday Parade, The Wonder Years and Taking Back Sunday among others. From Dan Campbell's charismatic stage presence to Derek Sanders' distinct vocals, Melton seamlessly, and accurately, channels these pop-punk musicians in this new video.
