Jimmy Eat World offer advice on band-naming by sharing their own regrets
Jimmy Eat World took to Twitter Friday night to offer bands some advice on band-naming all while sharing how one “dumb ass party” led to the regretful way they named theirs.

The tweet-turned-thread ended up becoming an official Jimmy Eat World history lesson where the band revealed how one party and a time-crunch led to their band name with one regretful acronym.

Tom and Rick (who wasn’t in the band quite yet) played in a band together that would change their name for every show. Me, zach, would go to a lot of those shows and I was there when they called themselves “Jimmy Eat World” and it stuck with me.
