It was recently reported that Mac Miller’s cause of death has been ruled an accidental overdose. The cause of death was released after a toxicology report done by the L.A. County Coroner’s Office was released.
In the report, it was found that Miller had a combination of fentanyl, cocaine and alcohol in his system, and as reported by Rolling Stone and Pitchfork, the mix of these substances caused the rapper’s death at 26.
Upon hearing the news of the late rapper’s passing, many artists came forward to offer their condolences to his family, friends and fans.Of those musicians, Ariana Grande wrote a heartfelt tribute, and Lil Xan expressed a desire to get sober.
Following his untimely passing, a tribute of Miller’s life was held on Oct. 31, called “Mac Miller: A Celebration Of Life,” which was an event that was planned by his estate.
All proceeds of the benefit went to the Mac Miller Circles Fund, which is in partnership with the Pittsburgh Foundation. The partnership provides programs and resources to youth in underprivileged areas.
