Not me. My encounter with the undead demons came from peeking through the staircase railings to get a glimpse of what on earth my older sister was watching. It was Bride Of Chucky; safe to say I’d only lasted 10 minutes before bursting into a bout of tears and never touching my dolls again. Beyond the red-haired gremlin and his gruesome murders, it was the cutthroat blond bombshell and embodiment of sass from Tiffany Valentine (played by Jennifer Tilly) that would have me returning like a dog to water, from scared kid to unhealthily obsessed adult spending my entire income on memorabilia instead of rent.

But what’s so endearing about the bimbo badass we’re seeing pop up more often in shows like Scream Queens or American Horror StoryCoven? Perhaps the duality of bubblegum lipgloss and super cute pink heels paired with blood spatters and visuals of cutting men in half is pretty badass. Women who are often overlooked as the airheads riding off looks who would die first in the genre, taking power back, often in an act of vengeance against men, makes a larger statement. It’s no surprise that beyond the “podcast bf spooky goth gf obsessed with horror” meme, many women are invested in true crime and horror because it brings them comfort or relatability to an extent. Some of the leading names in true crime are women, with Bailey Sarian, Eleanor Neale and Kendall Rae all boasting gigantic followings on their YouTube channels. In an interview with BBC, Julia Davis, editor of Crime Monthly magazine, agrees: “Women are fascinated by true crime because it’s a facing your fears thing.”

But if we rewind to the early 2000s, finding a horror character that celebrated femininity and fierceness without it being at the character’s expense was near impossible. Though studies conducted by Google and the Geena Davis Institute show that women are more commonly featured in this genre over any other, their place within the genre becomes problematic when most roles are whittled down to the slutty bimbo, the virgin loser, the evil villain or the final girl who saved her fate by upkeeping slut-shaming standards so her life is valued over those pesky jezebels. Much of horror hinges itself on the penalization of women’s sexuality. As Mic’s “Why Exorcism Movies Are Secretly All About Shaming Women” examines, you either die a whore or live long enough to see yourself be the virgin savior. Many of the beloved cult classics (A Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday The 13th, Halloween, Cabin Fever, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D) fall victim to the outdated death-by-sex-trope. You’ll find much more empowerment in Jennifer Tilly being a badass, biker jacket-wearing killer doll than you will in the virgin hero who let her whore friends suffer.

Jennifer’s Body is a prime example of how these female-led horror/thriller flicks that don’t pander to the typical tropes are overlooked. They perform poorly in their initial run and are celebrated a decade too late. Early reviews of the Megan Fox-starring 2009 horror flick, where an alt band’s botched satanic ritual on this poor teenage girl turns her into a man-killing demon, was still criticized by The Atlantic for its dull plot, and the UK Times put it more bluntly with their Jennifer’s Body review: “The feminist pretensions are deflated the moment the two central female characters snog each other for no discernible narrative purpose.”

In this post-Me Too era, many have come to criticize these movie standards weaved with sexist ideologies of women’s value. From Refinery29’s analysis on “Proof These (Infuriating) Horror Movie Tropes Are Changing,”  and The Independent’s ‘Torture the women!’: How horror’s final girls are turning the tables on misogyny.” Scream, Cabin In The Woods and other aforementioned gems have helped pave the way for a whole new generation of horror heroines in Scream Queens, Happy Death Day and American Horror Story: Coven, where the “bimbos” bite back. Once the first to die, they’re now using their bobby pins as makeshift slingshots and killing bad guys with their sparkly heels. If there’s one thing to learn, don’t underestimate the airhead bimbo. Whores run horror movies.

15 horror movies Jennifer’s Body fans will love https://www.altpress.com/movies-like-jennifers-body/ Wed, 26 Oct 2022 23:00:50 +0000 https://www.altpress.com/movies-like-jennifers-body/ October is for horror movies, and horror movies lend themselves to cult classic status. Big-budget effects that are hokey might come to be viewed as endearing, a small release that thrills might find new life on streaming and critical reevaluation can shine light on the gems that were missed. One of the biggest cult classics of the 21st century is 2009’s Jennifer’s Body, the unapologetically campy and queer horror film starring Megan Fox as a high school student turned demon who murders boys to gain power. Directed by the brilliant Karyn Kusama and written by Diablo Cody (coming off writing Juno in 2007), the movie has become a horror staple during the month of October.

For those who love Jennifer’s Body, we’ve gathered 15 other horror movies we think you might love, from films that share the same tone and camp, other high school horror romps and some scarier ventures for the brave of heart.

Tucker & Dale vs. Evil

Horror comedy is a tough act to balance, but in cases like Jennifer’s Body (and several other movies on this list), when it lands properly, it’s golden. Tucker & Dale vs. Evil is another example of how horror comedy can enhance both sides of the equation. Starring Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk as the titular hillbillies, the film is a humorous deconstruction of rural horror like The Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn. Here the reclusive duo has a lot of care in their hearts, and the film mixes a healthy dose of laughs playing with horror tropes while giving viewers loveable characters to root for.

The Invitation

Another Kusama-directed film, The Invitation is beautifully shot. Set almost entirely in one home during a deeply unsettling and disturbing dinner party, the camera frames the emotional turmoil unfolding with unflinching devotion. Kusama knows how to get actors to play off each other, and each performance here shines, including a world-class appearance from character actor John Carroll Lynch. It’s much grimmer than Jennifer’s Body, but The Invitation showcases the same commitment from Kusama to exploring the dark depths of relationships.

Freaky

There’s a lot to love about Freaky. The writing is smart, the kills are inventive and thrilling and Bear McCreary’s music is hypnotic. But the main draw of this movie is getting to watch Vince Vaughn act like a teenage girl and Kathryn Newton act like a deranged serial killer after their characters swap bodies. Both actors are more than game to lean into the camp, with Vaughn especially able to show off his ample comedic chops for large stretches.

Scream 4

Between the much-maligned Scream 3 and this year’s solid Scream lives Scream 4, yet the 2011 revival doesn’t get the love it should. While still honoring the roots and characters from the original trilogy, Scream 4 brings a new generation’s lens to the meta-commentary of the franchise, with a setting much more in line with the late 2000s/early 2010s aesthetic of Jennifer’s Body. Scream has always served as a love letter to horror, and Scream 4 deserves more love for carrying that torch.

The Craft

Almost every teen horror film since the mid-90s, including Jennifer’s Body, owes something to 1996’s The Craft. The cult classic, starring the iconic Fairuza Balk and Neve Campbell just before she became a star, mixes witchcraft, social dynamics and feminism in its tale about the forging and breaking of friendship among its four main characters. While it is campy in bursts, The Craft thoughtfully examines female friendship and finding identity while growing up.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show

If campy horror is what you’re searching for, The Rocky Horror Picture Show is a must-watch. The pinnacle of camp horror, the 1975 film is iconic for a reason. From the fashion to the music to the aesthetic, everything about Rocky Horror is a celebration of all things camp and horror. Tim Curry as Dr. Frank-N-Furter is still a revolutionary role, and the film’s influence on queer cinema across the decades cannot be overstated.

The Blackcoat’s Daughter

While considerably darker than Jennifer’s Body, the 2015 horror film The Blackcoat’s Daughter shares many of the same elements. Superficially, both revolve around teenage girls and possession by malevolent forces. On a deeper level, The Blackcoat’s Daughter also shares the desire to examine the stresses, isolation and false sense of competition placed on young women. With breathtaking performances from horror veterans Kiernan Shipka and Emma Roberts, The Blackcoat’s Daughter will sit with viewers long after it’s over.

Happy Death Day

What if Bill Murray was murdered every day during Groundhog Day? That’s the basic premise of 2017’s Happy Death Day, with main character Tree (played with considerable comedic timing by Jessica Rothe) reliving a single day on her college campus until she’s brutally dispatched by a masked killer. The mystery elements of Tree attempting to unmask her assailant are compelling, and the film’s setting allows for plenty of jokes about college life both in real life and its depiction in movies.

Carrie (1976)

Based on Stephen King’s first published novel, Carrie covers a lot of ground. It tells the story of the titular main character, a shy high school student severely hindered by her mother’s religious fundamentalism and the resulting harassment by her peers and various authority figures in her life while she begins to develop psychic powers. King — and this movie adaptation — capture how cruel high school can be, and it’s haunting to watch for anyone who suffered at the hands of bullies growing up (The 2013 film remake is fine but pales in comparison to the original).

Halloween H20

While the Halloween franchise has often focused on school-age protagonists in its place atop the slasher genre, it has almost never focused on school as a setting. That’s what makes Michael Myers hacking his way through a boarding school in 1998’s Halloween H20 so much fun. Besides being one of the better sequels in the franchise, it’s novel to see a film series that practically invented the modern slasher finally step foot into the high school antics it inspired.

The Love Witch

A severely underrated gem, The Love Witch is a delight to experience. Visually, it features a dazzling color palette and an aesthetic that harkens back to Old Hollywood. The story of Elaine, a witch desperately looking for love with the help of her powers, contains a multitude of both laughs and touching moments. Like Jennifer’s Body, The Love Witch also includes smart critiques of the ways women are viewed and valued by society, making it a thought-provoking watch.

It Follows

One of the best horror films of the last decade, It Follows is truly a must-watch for any horror fan. Set around Detroit during a nebulous time frame, the movie revolves around a group of teenagers attempting to escape a monster that relentlessly pursues its victim, with the monster’s ire able to be transferred via sex with another person. Besides being a taut and grippingly filmed adventure, the movie’s focus on how young adults view and experience sex showcases fantastic writing.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

Like any horror franchise, the sequels to A Nightmare on Elm Street vary wildly in quality. The third film, Dream Warriors, is the best of the bunch. Set in a home for troubled youth, the film follows a group of teenagers attempting to harness their dream powers to stop Freddy Krueger once and for all (given the sequels, you can imagine how that goes). Krueger is at his best here, and the story is a surprisingly tender story of a group of outcasts finding their strength and their confidence (much like Needy’s journey in Jennifer’s Body).

Ready or Not

If over the top is what you want more of, Ready or Not is the choice. Grace, played by Samara Weaving, is a bride-to-be preparing to marry into a wealthy, storied family. Of course, that family is not hiding secrets, and things start to get pretty bloody. From the writing to the bloodshed to the humor, everything in Ready or Not is designed to go bigger and better than the moment before it. The film is a thrill ride all the way up to its amazing, ridiculous ending.

Fright Night (2011)

Jennifer’s Body is undoubtedly cool, and the 2011 remake of horror classic Fright Night is just as chic. Set in the suburbs of Las Vegas, the film is anchored by incredible performances from the late Anton Yelchin as teenager Charley and Colin Farrell as Jerry, the vampire attempting to murder everyone in Charley’s life. With Vegas lights, desert expanses and the most sensual parts of vampire lore, Fright Night absolutely oozes style and excitement (and blood).

Machine Gun Kelly and WILLOW team up for ”emo girl”—listen https://www.altpress.com/machine-gun-kelly-willow-emo-girl-collab/ Fri, 04 Feb 2022 22:38:47 +0000 Machine Gun Kelly has released the single “emo girl” featuring WILLOW. The track comes ahead of his new album mainstream sellout, due out March 25 via Bad Boy/Interscope.

MGK previously teased the release of the song on his TikTok. He also sat down with producer Travis Barker to tell him that the new album’s name, which they previously got tattooed on their arms, would be changed from born with horns to mainstream sellout.

“emo girl” is another addition to the growing pop-punk revival. The lyrics describe all of the classic accouterments of a scene kid: fishnets, black boots and cigarettes. It also starts with a clip of Megan Fox saying, “I am a God,” from the cult-classic film Jennifer’s Body. A lot of the lyrics seem to allude to Fox’s character in the film: a beautiful, entrancing monster with a dark side.

MGK will headline the 2022 NHL All-Star game in Las Vegas Feb. 5. He will also team up with Halsey for a show at Crypto.com Arena Feb. 10.

chloe moriondo wanted to be completely honest on ‘Blood Bunny’ https://www.altpress.com/chloe-moriondo-blood-bunny/ Mon, 10 May 2021 21:55:23 +0000 For a person who just graduated high school, booked a headline tour and released their first major-label debut all in the same year, chloe moriondo is admirably calm. “I’m just chilling!” she says, confessing that she got out of bed at noon: “I’m a little gremlin,” she smiles. She’s rocking a new look that she teased on the first track of her new full-length, Blood Bunny, Rly Don’t Care,” singing: “I think I’m gonna shave my head soon/I don’t think anyone would be surprised.” True to her word, her head is freshly shaved and bleached, and she’s thrilled to be able to run her hands over her “little kiwi head.” Sitting in her childhood bedroom wearing an oversized cardigan and unnaturally long false eyelashes, moriondo has an easy air despite her mounting success.

moriondo, now 18, began her career on YouTube as a preteen with cutesy ukulele covers of songs by artists ranging from Paramore to Radiohead to dodie. She then began recording original songs, amassing over 3 million subscribers in the years since. With the self-release of her understated, DIY full-length Rabbit Hearted. in 2018, moriondo’s platform grew, and she attracted the attention of producers and co-writers who wanted to collaborate and evolve her talent. In August of last year, moriondo signed to Fueled By Ramen for her major-label debut, releasing single “I Want To Be With You” and garnering major critical acclaim for Blood Bunny.

Recent single “I Eat Boys” is a playful, blood-soaked ode to the 2009 cult movie Jennifer’s Body starring Megan Fox. With a deceptively sweet voice underpinned by a soft acoustic guitar, moriondo sings, “I eat boys/Yeah, I get them bloody.” In the accompanying video, a three-minute-long Jennifer’s Body homage, a blood-drenched moriondo stalks a boy to a cinema and murders him in an abandoned pool for ogling her in the street. With a big, eerie grin and a mouth smeared with blood, it’s a funny, visceral nod to a movie moriondo adores: “It’s fantastic, and it inspired everything about that song,” she says. “I love Megan Fox as the hot cheerleader eating boys!”

That blend of sugary-sweet bedroom pop and murderous impulses threaded together by an unabashed love of pop punk makes Blood Bunny a tender, playful, funny record that offers new surprises on every listen. Over her adolescence, moriondo has built a dedicated fanbase, sharing her vulnerability with her audience. As an openly lesbian artist, too, she’s offered fans a visibility that is still rare. She’s aware of the significance of her candor with fans and is proud of her relationship with them, telling us she’s desperate to get out and meet more of them.

When we speak, moriondo sits in the bedroom she’s lived in for 18 years, but she’s also sitting on the precipice of her life changing forever. She has every right to be nervous, but she can’t wait.

You just signed to Fueled By Ramen for this record, which is a big deal. How does that feel?

This is my first big kid album. I had one technically full-length album, Rabbit Hearted., that I released independently, and I did all of it even though I didn’t even know what mixing and mastering were. I did not know how to produce, but I did all of it. Now, having my first big kid album Blood Bunny come out and having so many awesome people work on it, it just sounds so much sonically larger.

It’s such a great label, too.

For sure, dude! It’s just crazy to me that I’m labelmates with some of my idols, like Paramore and Panic! At the Disco. I looked up to those bands so much as a kid. It’s really cool.

Your career started on YouTube, but you mentioned before that you’re stepping back a little from social media. Why did you make that decision?

I can get a really weird, unhealthy relationship with social media pretty quickly, like a lot of teenagers. Especially in these times when it’s really easy to stop taking care of yourself and just devote all of your energy to making yourself look good for other people. I’ve found taking a meter distance from social media has made me feel a lot better and has made it a lot easier to make stuff without comparing myself to others. I think that’s the biggest problem I have with social media. So many people are constantly trying to step over each other at being the best at something or doing it a certain way. Still, it can be a really beautiful place. I love the internet for how it can connect so many people of similar age groups who can talk about similar experiences or things that they like. It’s just a matter of staying in touch with yourself and making sure you’re not focusing so much on other people that you can’t focus on yourself anymore.

Especially as a new artist, it must be so hard because you need that space to promote music and communicate with people. But you’re in such a difficult position of being scrutinized.

There are lots of layers. There are problems with it and good parts about it. I think the best way to go about it is to post what you want and what you feel represents you and just make whatever the hell you want and try not to think about other people too much. I think that’s what everyone says, and it’s corny and whatever because it’s true. You need to do what you want or else you’re going to get so stuck in other people’s styles and ways of life that you’re not going to be able to do your own thing.

The ability to make connections with other people is the best thing about it.

I grew up on the internet. I started using YouTube and Instagram in fifth or sixth grade. It was a really interesting thing, and it’s interesting to think in general about how growing up in that environment can shape you and how you view things. Without the internet, I would be a very different person, and honestly in a bad way. I feel like I learned a lot of compassion and more about other people in general by having access to the internet growing up than I would have otherwise.

I learned so much about so many different experiences that I never would have otherwise, and it can be such an important space to explore your identity and find people who share your experiences.

For sure, and you don’t realize quite how big the internet is and how many people can be on it until you take a step back and realize how much you’ve changed because of it. It’s so awesome to see younger people who are around the age I was when I was struggling with my identity feeling fully accepted in a community and being able to talk to other people who share the same identity. It’s a really awesome thing, and it’s probably one of the best things about the internet.

You had that experience, and now you’re in a position to be out and happy with your identity, which then reaches so many more people. How does that feel?

I agree, and that’s why it’s so important for me to be outwardly a lesbian on the internet. I think there are still people that think being a lesbian is weird and a not-normal thing and that there aren’t lesbians who make music or are outwardly cool with it. I just want other people to be as comfortable with themselves as they can possibly be and hopefully inspire them to do so, if I can.

It’s so important because all you have to do is exist. Even just being visible means so much. When I was growing up, it felt like Tegan and Sara were the only artists singing openly about women specifically.

This specific time period is so good because I’ve seen so many girls and female-identifying people and people of all types just unabashedly singing about queer love, and I think that’s gorgeous. It’s really inspiring as a kid to be able to listen to songs that are written by a girl sung about a girl. It’s a special moment, I think, for every young gay kid. I’m glad that more openly gay music is being released. It’s awesome.

Even just using the word “she” in a love song has such an impact. The album is great, too. How is it having so many more resources to play with?

It was crazy. I feel like this album helped me to realize exactly how big and different my music can be. I always just assumed that my music was going to sound exactly how it sounds when it’s just me and a ukulele. I don’t know why, but I never pictured my music being able to sound like this. I’m so grateful to be able to have so many talented, cool producers and people who mix and master for me since I don’t know how the hell to do it. Having so many awesome people having their hands on my music in a way that I’m comfortable with is the most amazing feeling in the world. It’s really cool, and it makes me so excited to experiment with different sounds and still have it be my own.

Some of these tracks are a lot heavier than your earlier music. Is that a realm you always wanted to step into?

I feel like that’s where I wanted my music to be able to go. I wanted to be able to make super big indie punk rock-sounding songs. I also really wanted to be able to make crazy crunchy hyperpop that’s glossy and produced but crazy and wild and fun at the same time. I think being able to mess around with so many different sounds opens so many different doors for me, and I’m really excited to be able to mess around after this album. There are so many songs off this album that I am so excited to be able to play live.

On Blood Bunny, there are so many personal, touching little details lyrically. Is that intentional?

I think honesty is the most important part of all songwriting for me. Being able to say lyrics and feel as if they would come out of my mouth is really important to me. I like writing silly songs about bands that I like and girls I have crushes on and make heavier emo stuff and more fun dance stuff. I like doing the gory stuff, too, like “Bodybag.” That song was so fun. I’ve always been an edgy little kid. I grew up watching horror movies, and I’ve been growing into my bloody little murder era.

Available via Manhead Merch, items include a 14-inch tall pink voodoo doll covered in MGK lyrics from Tickets To My Downfall. Specifically, the doll idea came from the “body bag” lyrics, “She knows my pressure points, it hurts.”

Other items include a teddy bear MGK tee, as well as hoodies and t-shirts with a photo of him and his girlfriend, actress Megan Fox.

On the merch items, the two are kissing and surrounding my cartoon hearts. The words on the tee read, “she loves a boy so much she wants to steal him to steal her breath,” which are lyrics found in his track “banyan tree – interlude.”

Yes, it’s true. MGK has put his Lil Devil Toy 2.0 on the market for music fans who are also looking for a new sex toy.

This is not his first time working in the sex toy realm, as he did offer a vibrator last year for Valentine’s Day, too. His first Lil Devil was red and branded specifically for Hotel Diablo.

The new and improved Lil Devil 2.0 is water-proof, meaning it can be used in showers, pools, etc. and the device has five vibration speeds. Plus– the new toy has a new grooved design, which will create different sensations than the original one.

Retailing at $40, Lil Devil 2.0 does come with its own storage pouch, but it is up to you to grab one AA battery to make it work. The product notes share that this toy can be easily cleaned with soap and water, though stores such as Adam & Eve do offer special sex toy cleaners.

If you’re a big MGK fan, it’s best to load up your cart sooner rather than later because these items will not be restocked and are likely to sell out quickly.

MGK celebrates ‘SNL’ debut by falling off stage with Pete Davidson—watch https://www.altpress.com/mgk-celebrates-snl-debut-by-falling-off-stage-with-pete-davidson-watch/ Sun, 31 Jan 2021 20:44:45 +0000 Machine Gun Kelly made his debut on Saturday Night Live this weekend, jamming on guitar while two songs from Tickets To My Downfall.

MGK was the musical guest for the first SNL show of 2021, featuring host John Krasinski from The Office and A Quiet Place who also made his hosting debut.

Before the show even started, MGK was posting about how much it meant for him to be on the show. He reminisced about hanging out with Pete Davidson on set before he was ever invited to perform.

Also, he shared his text exchange with blackbear, who features on “my ex’s best friend,” wishing him good luck before the show.

And in true rockstar style, the day of the show he made a grand entrance by carrying girlfriend Megan Fox into the studio like a princess. Before the show, rumors began swirling that the two got engaged, but that has yet to be confirmed.

MGK first performed “my ex’s best friend,” donning a pink microphone, guitar and grunge-looking ensemble. The performance was the epitome of pop punk perfection, and you can watch that below.

Then later in the show, he performed “Lonely,” an emotional song he wrote as a tribute to his late father. The whole performance was emotional, marked with a dark set and MGK belting out the track on guitar. You can see the emotion behind his face while performing, which gave us goosebumps.

And that wasn’t all. Of course, fans couldn’t get enough of whenever BFFS MGK and Pete Davidson interacted, whether it was behind the scenes or while filming.

Arguably the best moment was at the end, when Davidson and MGK hugged each other so hard that they literally fell off the stage. You can catch the hilarious moment below.

And after the show, MGK declared it was the “best night ever” on Twitter to celebrate the accomplishment.

Earlier this week, the Tickets To My Downfall performer teased his upcoming appearance in a new video. However, the teaser has quickly sparked rumors he may be engaged to Megan Fox.

Last week, Machine Gun Kelly announced that he is finally checking Saturday Night Live off of his bucket list. As it turns out, MGK almost made his debut last year after broken COVID-19 protocols left NBC temporarily without a musical guest. In the end, the open spot went to Jack White.

Now, this Saturday, Jan. 30, MGK is hitting the show’s coveted stage for a few performances alongside host John Krasinski (The Office, A Quiet Place). On Thursday, NBC debuted the first teaser for the upcoming episode.

On Wednesday, Machine Gun Kelly arrived in New York City to begin rehearsals for his Saturday Night Live appearance.

He tweeted about watching the show as a kid with his aunt and dad who have both passed away. MGK mentions them in his emotional song “lonely,” off of Tickets To My Downfall, which he will be performing on Saturday.

“i remember when i was a kid watching @nbcsnl every weekend with my aunt and my dad, since they aren’t here to see this moment, i’m going to perform the song i wrote for them on the show hopefully i’ll feel them there.”

Machine Gun Kelly also took to his Instagram Story to further tease his SNL performance. In the video, he shows off his new guitar that he made especially for the upcoming appearance. However, the video is catching fans’ attention for a whole different reason. Both Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox can be seen wearing rings on their ring fingers, causing speculation that the couple may be engaged.

12 “if astrology isn’t real…” memes that every zodiac sign can relate to https://www.altpress.com/if-astrology-isnt-real-memes-horoscope/ Mon, 18 Jan 2021 23:55:15 +0000 https://www.altpress.com/if-astrology-isnt-real-memes-horoscope/ There’s definitely no shortage of memes about astrology and zodiac signs on the internet.

Actually, there are accounts that solely post memes about astrology, including one user @milkstrology, who recently started one of the latest hilarious trends through their posts.

Starting with characters solely from the Scooby-Doo franchise, the Twitter user began making hilarious posts playing off stereotypes of the signs to prove that astrology is real. The format goes “If astrology isn’t real, then why do all (insert zodiac sign)” look like this, act like this, etc., along with a photo.

The original posts took off, so @milkstrology started making even more memes with characters from other shows and movies. Naturally, Twitter users quickly jumped on, making even more amusing posts that were oddly so true.

We decided to round up some of the best “if astrology isn’t real” memes for each of the signs so we can all laugh a little at ourselves.

Aries

To be honest, we cannot track down where exactly this cartoon character is from, but she gives total Aries vibes. The attitude, the red lips and the always Instagram-ready look are tell-tale traits of this fire sign.

Taurus

Be truthful, Tauruses. You have a tendency to be skeptical all the time, just like this meme from The Cleveland Show. Don’t worry: Capricorns and Virgos can relate, so you’re not alone.

Gemini

Apparently, all Geminis dress like Little Bill, which definitely describes a few sporty twins that we know. Geminis tend to embrace things that are funky and eclectic, so this meme makes a good point.

Cancer

Cancers, you have to laugh because this meme hits your tendency to always worry too much dead on. More often than not, you’re probably making a similar face to Scooby-Doo in this meme, and that’s OK.

Leo

Leos love to be the center of attention and give off similar vibes to Megara from Hercules. They’re also always on point with their outfits and would likely wear something like this to stand out.

Virgo

Virgos can sometimes be shy and reserved, but it’s because their brains are always working on overdrive. They’re extremely smart, so we totally get the comparison to Velma from Scooby-Doo here.

Libra

Libras are natural-born skeptics because they always love to weigh all of their options. They totally give off this look to anyone who tries to bullshit them because they’re just looking for the facts.

Scorpio

All of these women are the epitome of Scorpio energy, especially with the dark outfits and red lips. These photos, including Elvira and Megan Fox, show off the sultry, mysterious side of Scorpio that hints at the passion they’re hiding.

Sagittarius

Sagittariuses are dreamers and have a natural sense of adventure, so comparing them to Susie, the mischievous character from Rugrats, isn’t so far off.

Capricorn

Honestly, we’re sorry about this one, Capricorns. It’s not that you all look like these Gargoyles from a ’90s kids’ series—it’s that you’re sometimes uptight and standoffish. It’s not your fault, though. Blame the stars.

Aquarius

Shaggy eating a sandwich is the definition of carefree Aquarius energy. This sign doesn’t care what’s going on around them. They’re totally content in their own little world.

Pisces

Pisces often have their heads in the clouds, which can lead to them not being the best listeners at times. Sometimes when someone is telling them a long story, they likely make the same face as Ariana Grande in this GIF.

Over the years, Posty has challenged various individuals to competitive games of beer pong. Justin Bieber, Diplo, Drake and the Chainsmokers are just a few of the musicians he’s reportedly battled in the past.

As well, earlier this year, he made headlines after a failed beer pong game against Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. After a few rounds of the game, he ended up losing and now has a Chiefs tattoo inked on him forever.

Now, Post Malone’s beer pong battles never have to end. On Nov. 18, he launched his Celebrity World Pong League. For the new series, he is taking on some familiar faces including Halsey, Jason Derulo, Doja Cat and Big Sean for an ultimate game of beer pong.
