Hear Machine Gun Kelly’s collab with the Used and YUNGBLUD

Machine Gun Kelly has had a busy few days with the release of his fifth full-length Tickets To My Downfall. Featuring the rock chart-topping blackbear collab “my ex’s best friend” and VMA-winning “bloody valentine,” the pop-punk album finally hit streaming services Friday after months of teasers.

As if a full album worth of pop-punk bangers and ballads produced by Travis Barker wasn’t enough, the musician has now released the deluxe version, SOLD OUT. With it, we’re finally getting the long-awaited collab with YUNGBLUD and the Used’s Bert McCracken, “body bag.”

Tickets To My Downfall is already gaining major traction with projections putting it atop the Billboard 200. If the album snags that No. 1 spot, it’ll mark the first time for MGK.

In addition to blackbear, the album features several others who MGK has worked with previously including Trippie Redd, iann dior and Pete Davidson. The musician also finally teamed up with Halsey on “forget me too,” an electric anthem that already has a music video in the works.

Shortly after confirming the album would be in the pop-punk realm in late 2019, Kells told Zane Lowe that YUNGBLUD, who joined MGK and Barker on the now BBMAs-nominated Hotel Diablo track “I Think I’m OKAY,” would be among the previously mentioned collaborators with hopes to get McCracken as well.

MGK finally made that McCracken collab a reality in January. Soon after, he teased details of what to expect with YUNGBLUD on “body bag,” revealing how it came together just after Juice WRLD passed.

However, just ahead of the tracklist reveal in September, MGK shared that the McCracken and YUNGBLUD collabs wouldn’t be appearing on the album but rather “something special” later.

Now, that something is here as MGK began teasing a deluxe edition of the album was on the way Monday evening.

Shortly after releasing the latest behind-the-scenes video for “drunk face” Tuesday evening, he revealed the deluxe was available and thanked fans with the announcement.

UPDATE: In addition to the contributions from McCracken and YUNGBLUD, MGK soon revealed that “body bag” has a sample from a classic Fall Out Boy song as well.

In a tweet directed at Pete Wentz and Patrick Stump, Kells shares that “Dance, Dance” was “a big inspiration” for the album. MGK toured with the band back in 2018 for the latter’s the MANIA tour. The scene staple was one of many to inspire the record, which he revealed also includes ParamoreTaking Back SundayLagwagon and Yellowcard in April.

“yoooooo thanks to @petewentz + @PatrickStump for the last minute clearance on ‘body bag’ !!!!!,” he tweeted Tuesday. “‘Dance, Dance’ was a big inspiration for our record and the fact they picked up the phone last night and said YES is punk as fuck.”

The deluxe album features six additional tracks including “body bag.” There are three other previously unreleased songs: “hangover cure,” “split a pill,” and “can’t look back.” The extended version also features his “Misery Business” cover from the Lockdown Sessions and acoustic version of “bloody valentine.”

Machine Gun Kelly “body bag” lyrics

Her lips are soda, and I just miss the way they taste
That Coca-Cola, sparked with aromas
I heard a rumor that she’s been dancin’ in the rain
I’m gonna lose it ’cause I can’t swim, but

I’m not mad, I just want us to be better
It feels right when we’re together, okay (Okay)
I’m not mad, I just cover up my temper
You’re supposed to love me better, baby
So put me in a body bag
So put me in a body bag

She’s on my wish list, she knows my pressure points, it hurts
She gives me kisses, her glitter gets everywhere
I’ve got my issues, but I have the right to think you’re wrong
You’re just a witch and I drank your poison, baby, put me in a body bag

I’m not mad, I just want us to be better
It feels right when we’re together, okay (Oh)
I’m not mad, I just cover up my temper
You’re supposed to love me better, baby
So put me in a body bag
I’m not mad, I just want us to be better
It feels right when we’re together, okay (Oh)
I’m not mad, I just cover up my temper

You’re supposed to love me better, baby
So put me in a body bag

I know that I’ll dream about you always and forever
‘Cause you broke my heart in two
But then you piece it together, so

I’m not mad, I just want us to be better
Feels right when we’re together, okay

I’m not mad, I just cover up my temper
You’re supposed to love me better, baby

Woah, woah, woah, woah
Woah-oah-oah-oah, woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah, woah, woah, woah
Woah-oah-oah-oah, woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah, woah, woah, woah
Woah-oah-oah-oah, woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah, woah, woah, woah
Woah-oah-oah-oah, woah-oah-oah-oah
Woah-oah-oah-oah
So put me in a body bag
